主要な学術上の業績
野中郁次郎氏は、知識創造経営理論の生みの親として、日本における経営学の発展に多大な貢献を行うと共に、日本企業の経営実践を普遍化し知識を基盤とする経営理論を広く世界に発信することに貢献しました。
日本企業と米国企業の実践的な比較研究によって、日本企業の経営の強みが、効率的な生産システムや現場での業務改善などの手法にとどまらず、個人の経験から集積された暗黙知を基盤とする組織的な知識創造（イノベーション）にあるのだという洞察をもとに、企業から国家レベルまでの新しい知識経営の理論を提示しました。この組織的知識創造というパラダイムは、日本のみならず世界において経営学研究の新しい潮流となり、野中氏の提唱した理論のもとに様々な理論的実証的研究が今日まで行われています。
