Activities
Based on the Japan Academy Act, the Academy performs following activities.
Award of Prizes
The Academy awards to persons who have achieved significant research landmarks or who have authored particularly outstanding academic papers or books.
Publications
The Academy publishes scientific papers written both by its members and other researchers
International Exchange
The Academy participates in the Union Académique Internationale and exchanges with overseas Academies.
Research Grants
The Academy uses its endowment to subsidize research conducted by its members and their collaborators and its self-implemented academic activities.
Public Lectures
The Academy holds public lectures
